I have just started on a project with Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) focusing Innovation Futures. This is an initiative aimed at supporting companies in the Yorkshire region to innovate and develop their services, products and processes using a variety of innovative techniques.
The initiative is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and SHU. This means that we can offer a limited amount of free consultancy to the regions businesses (unfortunately, it does not apply to certain sectors like, retail, agriculture, motor and insurance. There are a few other stipulations but you’ll need to check their website to get the full details).
The key thing I will be doing is working with business to identify ways to innovate and make more efficient use of resources. This should help drive up their competitiveness. I can also create bespoke packages of consultancy which can drawing on expertise from across the University.
The University are looking to establish themselves as the primary promoter and enabler of innovation and R&D to businesses in the Yorkshire region. So if you want to find out more about Innovation Futures or if need support on a project you are doing just drop me a line and either I or one of my colleagues will come and have a chat with you.
